Berta received her diploma from Tannsmíðaskóli Íslands in 2001 and started working with dental technician Lúkas D. Karlsson from 2000 till 2003. She then worked with Soffía Dögg Haldrsdóttir at the dentists office of Halldór Fannar from 2004 till 2006. She became a joined Bakkabros in the spring of 2006 and was on the board of directors for the Icelandic Dental technician society(Tannsmíðafélag Íslands) in 2004 till 2007.
